My name is Dragoljub Paunović. I am a digital artist from Serbia, with a background in software architecture and over thirty years of experience in programming and systems design.
My transition from logic to visual poetry began in 2007 — not as an escape from code, but as a parallel syntax for exploring emotion, philosophy, and the fragile paradoxes of our time.
I see digital art not as a medium, but as a portal:
into inner states, cultural echoes, posthuman anxieties, and forgotten dreams.
With the advent of AI and generative tools, we are no longer limited by material — only by the courage to imagine. My work seeks to capture that tension: between what is fading and what is coming.
If I were to describe myself, I would borrow from Gustav Klimt:
"Whoever wants to know something about me as an artist... ought to look carefully at my pictures and try to see in them what I am and what I want to do."
And if I’m lucky, perhaps one day the words about Gustave Courbet may echo in my direction as well:
"He belonged to no school, to no church, to no institution... least of all to any regime except the regime of liberty."
